Cup-Tie Proposal
At the annual general meeting in Glasgow last night of the Scottish Football Association – Mr Tom White – presiding – the reports for the year were adopted without discussion.
There was, however, some discussions over a proposal for the Council to alter the rules so that in cup-ties the gate and stand drawings be divided equally between the clubs.
In supporting the motion, Mr Donald, Aberdeen, said that he thought it was a wise suggestion, as it would be of special value to the smaller clubs.
Mr Ward, Partick, who moved the previous question, said that he thought it would be unwise to make any alteration, and Mr Philip, director of the Aberdeen Club, in supporting the previous question, said he was there to dissociate his club with any part in the matter. Mr Philip, the manager, who was the sponsor of the motion in the Council, had done so on his own accord and not on the club’s account. Some further discussion took place on the subject, but on a vote being taken the proposal was rejected by 37 votes to 23.

Scottish Cup Exemptions
The Council of the Scottish Football Association met in Glasgow on Wednesday night – Mr T. White, Celtic F.C., presiding.
The following 42 clubs were exempted from taking part in the Qualifying Cup competition:-
Rangers, Airdrieonians, Celtic, Falkirk, St Mirren, Aberdeen, Hibernian, Dundee, Raith Rovers, Ayr United, Partick Thistle, Hearts, Motherwell, Morton, Kilmarnock, Clyde, Third Lanark, Hamilton Academicals, Queen’s Park, Clydebank, St. Johnstone, Dumbarton, Alloa, Albion Rovers, Armadale, Bathgate, Bo’ness, Broxburn United, East Fife, Lochgelly United, Cowdenbeath, King’s Park, Dunfermline Athletic, Stenhousemuir, Forfar Athletic, Johnstone, Dundee Hibs, Arbroath, Vale of Leven, St Bernard (all Scottish League Clubs), East Stirlingshire and Clackmannan.
